How can i have my own electricity metre in my room in a hostel-like living environment?

I am not a student. But i am living in a hostel-like building where we have a common power metre. When the power bill comes, everybody shares the bill amount. Since i am using the power most, i think it's unfair to those whose usage is minimum. Is there any device that i can install in my own room?

That takes a professional electrician and probably would be a major revision. Why not just volunteer to pay extra? The others will consider that fair enough, and it's a lot cheaper than rewiring the building.

Sir, you are a decent man. There could be simple devices that measure the power used by induction and so do not need to be wired in. If not, just offer to pay more.
