Thread: Your opinion would be greatly appreciated regarding the Presidents efforts to get out the vote?

Why did President Obama infer to Hispanic Americans that all Americans who weren't democrats were their enemy?
Why did he use the word 'enemy' instead of 'opponent'? What is his motivation for calling his political opponents and fellow countrymen 'the enemy'? Isn't the enemy supposed to Muslim Extremists not Americans who disagree with his policies?

Now, now he claims he "misspoke". He says he should have said opponents. I think he said exactly what he was thinking. It is just like him saying that he doesn't mind republicans coming along for the ride but they need to ride in the back. So much for our "post-racial" President. Even with Hispanics he throws down the race card. 2012 and the end of the Obama era can't come soon enough.

If you read the whole transcript you will get the jest of the way this sounds.

He even sounds demeaning towards the host..from my point of view.

"Enemy" has been used before so I doubt he misspoke.
