Thread: Who was the major idiot who planned to show the olympic opening ceremonies soooo late at night?

It doesn't start until 9pm. It takes all the countries 3 hrs to enter the stadium. The lighting of the torch won't be lit until 12:30am. Why didn't they show it earlier here in the states?

Maybe because of the different time zones around the world.

9PM in what time zone? From EST (east coast time) 9PM here would be 1AM there? We are 4 hours behind London when you include daylight savings time. On the other hand 9PM london time would be 5PM EST.
