What happens to the money if the lost lottery ticket is not found?

First it was hidden at McDonalds, now it is supposedly lost! Is their a time limit to collect?

She NEVER had a ticket in the first place. This is not the first time someone has claimed to have a winning ticket, and not once have they been able to prove it.

The lotteries people would/should know how many winning tickets there are, and have made allowances for them. The unclaimed winnings should be put in a trust and made available once the ticket is handed over.

There is usually a time limit of one year to show up with the winning ticket. If the money is not claimed by then, it goes back into the kitty.
