What is the best way to sell your old clothes for money?

All of my clothes are lightly used and cost me a lot of money. I cleaned out my closet and wanted to sell a few things back. Any ideas other than eBay?

    Thanks in advance!

Unless you sell your clothes on Ebay you aren't going to make a ton of money. Clothes generally don't sell well at yard sales and if they are priced for more than $2 or $3 people will loose interest in them. You can try consignment shops but the deal is normally that you get 40% and the store gets 60% and that's IF the clothes sell. Most places have a 30-60 day limit for the clothes to sell before they will return the clothes to the seller (you). The consignment shop probably won't price your items high either or customers won't pay for it. They don't want to pay $20 for an used shirt that they can get for the same price new in stores. So if the shop prices a shirt for $5, you will get $2 and the shop will get $3. You could try stores like Plato's Closet or Style Exchange which buy used and new junior size clothing and pay cash or store credit up front but they don't pay much for the clothes they take and are very picky about what they will and will not take. When I sold some clothes at Style Exchange they took 3 pairs of American Eagle jeans, in perfect condition, for $3 a piece and sold them for $15 a piece!

I would honestly recommend selling on Ebay or Craigslist if you want to make the most money you can. Just be reasonable about prices. Don't overprice your items...remember, you aren't selling them new. You will probably make more off of name brand clothes that don't have any stains or holes and ones that are clean and neatly folded.
