If I take 1 year off, I am planning on studying islam and the persian culture/history.
But I'm also considering starting uni and skip that 1 year. What should I do?
I honestly think you should start right after summer...A lot of people I know have decided you take 1 year off and were so positive they would go back...but after the year passed, they didn't.
Starting right away is best, plus it would be over sooner! Where as taking a year off..would take 1 year longer.
I think you should do Istikhara about your decision and then put your trust in Allah (swt).
I think you shouldn't take a year out though as it is DIFFICULT to get back into studying and why waste your tym unless your doing something for Islam or you are studying your Deen else where.
take a year off
maybe even more, gain knowledge about things you like , it's the right way to live! aren't we actually going to universities to become wiser and get a more important role in our society?
(besides,it's hardly ever late to go back to school)
Best Of Luck
I'd say don't take the year off....your mind starts to stagnate really quick........once you get out of that habit....its tough to get back in.
plus you can study islam while in school...
