How long does a naval piercing take to heal?

I know they say 4-6 weeks in general. But from personal experience how long before it didn't hurt and you could change the belly ring?

6 months to a year! Whoever told you 4-6 weeks needs to get their stuff straightened out. I couldn't barely sit down for the first week or so mine hurt really bad. But even if it doesn't hurt anymore, that does not mean you should change it. If you start changing it before it's fully healed it could start rejecting the piercing meaning that your belly button is going to look really demented and gross and you could say bye bye to your belly ring. I changed mine after about 9 or 10 months.

It never really "hurt", but you can't change it for at least 4-6 months.
FULL healing time can take up to a year.

it's dependent on the person. take care of it properly. try an aspirin and water paste. it can take up to a yr but i know some people who only took 1 month or so. hope that helps!
