Thread: How long do you keep giving birthday money?

I love my nieces and nephew and have been giving them money for their birthdays ever since they are born. Their ages are 17, 12, 11, 10 & 5. I don't mind giving for Christmas but I feel it's now time to stop with the birthday money due to having a budget at home. I shouldn't feel guilty, right?

In our family we stopped giving birthday money when the children turned 18, since that is the legal age of adulthood. 18th birthday, they got a card. No money, welcome to the reality of adulthood ! No longer a child.
