Thread: How far does the neutralization of Christmas have to go before my right to enjoy Christmas is violated?

My Aqua aerobics teacher told us this morning that she is afraid of being sued if she brings traditional Christmas music to class. Anything with Christ or traditional wording referring to Christ's birth is prohibited. So where is the line, since for me, Christmas is based on Christ's birth? Happy Holidays will never be the same as Merry Christmas.

No haters need comment. Just provide me with another point of view.

I find it so intersting that Christians seem to think they have a claim on Christmas, considering it wasn't an actual Christian holiday to begin with, but a Pagan one that was hijacked to gain political control and more converts.

Also, in this day and age, of multiculturalism, I see nothing wrong with the whole Happy Holidays bit in secular places, like businesses, schools, hospitals, government and the like. There are many different ways the Yule season is celebrated, and as I am sure you do not live in a Christian country, with government sanctioned religion, it only makes sense to go the secular route and include everyone, rather than just your particular brand.
