How exactly do you do sea salt soaks on piercings?

I am getting a new piercing and I want to do it right to prevent it from infection.
    Is there another quicker way?

You put like a tablespoon of sea salt, not iodized or it'll burn, and put it in warm water. Then use a q-tip and dip it in the mixture and clean the piercing; this would be done twice a day. You can also buy like H2ocean, its premixed and you just spray it; if you buy a product like this you spray the piercing 3-4 times a day.

what i do is mix a third of a teaspoon of sea salt with 8 oz of water, put it in a styrofoam cup and heat it up for a few seconds in the micro. depending where the piercing is, you can either invert the cup over the piercing(belly button, surface piercings) or take a cotton ball and soak it in the solution(nose, ears, lip) make sure its not too hot to burn your skin, and not too salty, it will only irritate the piercing.
