Thread: Can I add a 30 volume developer to box blonde hair dye to achieve lighter results?

It's just a regular old 30 volume developer from sallys and a garnier nutrisse ash blonde hair kit. Should I mix them all together for lighter results? My current hair has brassy tones and is blonde and I am looking to achieve a lighter result than JUST this box could give me.

you could, but while a higher developer will give a lighter result it will also give a brassier result. higher developers reveal more underlying pigment than lower ones.
