    a^2 + b^2= c^2

    c being the hypotenuse. Longest side is the hypotenuse so

    467^2 + b^2= 582^2

    218089+ b^2= 338724

    B^2= 120635

    b= 347.3cm

    a² + b² = c²
    467² + b² = 582²
    b² = 582² - 467²
    = 338724 - 218089
    = 120635
    b = ?120635
    = 347

    Pythagorean theorem...

    a^2+b^2=c^2

    I won't solve the problem for you though... you should do that on your own so you learn

    shame on you other answerers
