If you own property which you choose not to insure, tough.
Your logic cannot pass the bleeding heart test.
....and people just fail to understand that when the Govt uses our tax dollars to rebuild cities, it comes with strings. The have to be rebuilt this way or that...many times wasting a good percentage of the money used.
The private sector ensures proper checks and balances.
Very good point.
I guess the state or local government worry about the problem, federal gov't has other issues to deal with.
Oh wait, then the state declares a "state of emergency" and requests federal dollars for assistance...so much for that idea...doh!
that's right...i don't remember anyone paying pa when the crops got rained out on little house on the prairie.
Youre not al bundy you liar
Thanks for two points
As humans we are conditioned to help those in need for a variety of reasons but for the government to repeatedly rebuild homes that built in unwise locations only teaches others to do the same.
The govt should never do that... That's what insurance is for.. Giving low interest loans is O K in my opinion. At least the govt would get their money back.
The gov should not rebuild a property owners loss.
Insurance is Easy to get.
