I know it is a fact that in many cases, women are payed 79 cents to a man's dollar for the same position. What are some examples of this?
Obama's senate staff."On average, women working in Obama's Senate office were paid at least $6,000 below the average man working for the Illinois senator"

These are averages.
If you compare apples to apples, that is Women who have been in the work force the same amount of time as their male counter parts, then you will see that many women actually outperform their male counterparts when they have been int eh workforce without a 5-8 year child raising break. In those 5 to 8 years the women are out of the work force, the men are getting more experience, and learning new regulations, learning to use new equipment etc. the women who stay int eh workforce without a child break enjoy similar career advantages.
