Thread: What right does Queen Elizabeth have to rob her subjects of costs of her own royal health care?

Her Majesty eats, sleeps, imposes taxes, enjoys royal health care, in short she parasites on her subjects. Good thing that we got rid of those rotten royalties 200 years ago, no one robs us of the fruits of our labor since then.

I've actually posted a similar question in the Royalty section, and some Brits were quick to inform me that it costs them less than a pound per person to pay for her income. I don't think it's right that a person should live off of taxpayers' money just by virtue of her being born into the right circumstances, but there you go.

Shes the Queen and she more than makes up for it because of the Tourism money Buckingham palace brings in

unless you are a british subject, why would you care how they (the brits) conduct their affairs? Not being a citizen there, i find it none of my business what they do. Catch my drift here?

Mind you I object a lot less to paying 48p or whatever it is for the Queen than the extra £35 I'm paying in taxes for the f***ing olympics. not to mention they've used the arts budget AND have closed down a lot of sports training facilities to pay for the olympics - obviously we're not planning on winning any medals next time.

she is the Queen. she doesn't impose the taxes, the government that forms in her name (parliament) imposes the tax, too which she is entitled a cost of living and maintenance stipend. you have no idea how much a monarch does for a nation. she is one of the most recognize able figures alive today. she brings the full weight of english good will to the world. she is deserving of it.

The queen is, the best ,no scandal attached to this lady in all her years,the work she undertakes puts the Honorable elected MPs to shame,Yes she does enjoy all those you indicate, but a parasite I don't think so my friend,Now, all the hangers on around her reaping vast amounts of money is another ball game, the word parasite fits very nicely applied in that quarter.

Um, the royal family pays taxes and "makes" money through activities. A little behind the times, aren't you?
