Thread: How should Evangelical Christians deal with illegal aliens? We are supposed to obey law, but care for the poor

Obeying the law would seem to mean not knowingly hiring them, and maybe turning them in, but Christians are supposed to help the poor. And God does not seem to make an exception for aliens. In the Old Testement, God tells Jewish believers to welcome aliens to their country.

It is hard to answer this question because all are equal in the eyes of God. Still, we have problems of our own. Ship em' out.

How would you like to be treated? "Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?" Jesus replied, "'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'

Christians have been sending missionaries to other countries for a long time. Let them stay in their own country and let their own government pay to take care of them. Allowing illegal aliens to be supported by the taxpayers is an insult to the people who have come to the US legally and poses a severe hardship to taxpayers.

This is not a religious situation. It is an economic one.

When they cross that border, they knowing break federal laws, and therefore have sinned against God and the country.

We as Christians are not bound by the old testament, let alone Jewish immigration issues from 2000 years ago.

Aliens, what is an alien with the Lord and what is it with our present 45 year Liberal government? If you are married, thus honoring God in His Word, You wife lost her SS as you opted to honor the Lord! If you marry and have a wife overseas, you cannot have her here.. she cannot ever come as a tourist because she is married to you. Liberals, along with their Commie founded friends at the ACLU want to destroy family and that will destroy this Country! According to the Bible, Liberals are fools and He uses that word for them! What they believe, He speaks of as making them fools! As to your question, I would take up a donation on the Internet; at local churches; and anyway that honors the Lord. Send a many member letter to President Bush before it is too late and ask Him to help those that honor the Lord, but are alien and would be forced out for many reasons, by the Liberal passed laws of our past! Yes.. obey the law.. If you want to help those poor then move to their country and help them there.. teach them to be self reliant.. teach them skills that they need to survive in their own country.
