Thread: How long are you arrested for drinking and driving in tennessee?

My dad just got arrested for drinking and driving and my mom and I are devistated! I wanna know how long it is, im hoping its short bcuz my mom, my lil sis and i are scared. How long is it?!

Depends. If this is his 1st offense, the judge has the authority to jail him from a min of 48 hrs, (which is the norm) up to 11 months, 29 days. If his BAC was .20 or above, he will serve a minimum of 7 consecutive days. There is no law against drinking and driving.
