Thread: How can you get the cops to call off a pursuit?

Like sometimes they will stop the chase if it is too dangerous, how can you make them think it is too dangerous?

well if its near a school zone and the chase just started or if there is a kid in the car ............or for officer safety if the caris like topping out at 110 the cop will just back off

The best way is to stop your car and comply with their commands. While I may have some ideas on what may work, I will not help in the commission of a crime...

Uh, Einstein, you are a civilian. Civilians do not dictate terms to law enforcement officials. Get a clue.

From experience the best thing to do is to get away from them and lie low (somewhere they wont expect you)

They will just call in a police helicopter and pull the police cars back.

Once the helicopters above with it's thermal imaging it's basically game over.

You can do nothing. You are a civilian. The police are trained well and know when the situation is too dangerous. They will call it off themselves.

Now here is a question for you. What is more dangerous? A high speed chase ending with the capture of a known murderer or stopping the chase and the guy gets away and a family member of yours is his next victim...How happy will you be that the chase was stopped at that point?

this question cause me to be concerned as a driver. I don't want people on the rode who do not follow the rules. parents want to keep their children safe and if you go blasting down a highway you might kill someone and live with the consequences forever. if you need a police escourt to get you somewhere fast like a hospital call them first.

You become a cop, get promoted to a supervisor (Sgt) and be the supervisor that makes that call.
