Thread: In countries where Shariah law is implicated how do they go about cutting off the limbs of criminals?

I've always wondered do they do it under anathesia or are they awake while it happens. Then after having the limb cut off are they allowed to put it on ice and take it to a hospital and ask to have it put back on. No I'm not kidding, I really want to know.

I've seen a video from Afghanistan I think it was, they simply hacked the guy's hand and foot off with a sword. He was fully concious at the time.

Well, considering they didn't have anesthesia or the kind of surgeons we have today when sharia was invented, they probably don't use any form of drugs while executing the punishment or allow the patient to seek medical assistance afterwards.
