Thread: Can someone with a criminal record find employment for social work?

Can someone with a criminal record still become a social worker? They have no felonies, and none of there charges have ever involved children. There charges were disorderly conducts and a retail theft.

With the caveat that it depends on the level of disorderly conduct, none of the charges you describe would be a barrier to employment in that field. That said, in terms of being an attractive candidate, they will not help.
