Thread: What time and place did this massacre-type event occur?

I read about it a loooong time ago and cant find it. I remember very little, but basically this;

A group of militants caught a village or town or whatever providing support to their enemies, or perhaps they just passed through and the townsfolk refused to talk, or whatever. I really don't remember that part. But the women were separated from their children and husbands and raped in front of them, and then many of the children had their limbs amputated in front of their parents.

When and where did this happen?

Rape is a common weapon in war. There is no war without woman and children suffering from this. It is not when did this occur - as in oh my god it happened once - it happens all the times.
