    What is the difference between hominids and hominidae?

    'Hominid' is the singular of 'hominidae'. So basically a hominid is one of the the hominidae.

    ie. Hominidae is the family of Great Apes, a hominid would be a member of that group, like human or chimpanzee.

    Everywhere i look it says hominids are hominidae and vice versa so i just need someone to clarify for me.
