I have this question for homework and i have to write a full page response. I've read a ton about shakespeare and just cant seem to come up with anything.
He was a playwright, poet, and theater owner. He helped translate the Bible into English. His works were widely read and he influenced other writers, such as Spain's Miguel Cervantes.
he's not exactly a part of the renaissance in italy, where all artists and people were obsessed with beautifying the city and making numerous of artistic potraits and drawings. but he is considered as one of the hugest contributor in england renaissance history in aspect of language and literature.
you can say that. he's not a part of Italian Renaissance because the real renaissance started in italy and after that came along Reformation, where all Protestant and all sorts christianity protest against the Church power began.
but you have to know that renaissance had made a difference in england as well when it started there. some of the contributors are francis bacon, thomas more and william shakespeare.
