Thread: how can i can i convert my electric start generator to startomatic ?

it also has electric 'off' switch ' but am not keen to run a remote cables for 50 m. actually it's really only the 'off' function that i need. would some kind of remote control/liketv doodah work ? the starter and fuel cutoff solenoid are 12 volt. any help would be gratefully received .please bear in mind that i'm quite good at twisting wires together/insulation tape but not electrically minded .

remote control can be easly built to send infred massege to a starter moter to start and stop. olny when the machine is visible or a signal reciver. if you are using to stop the moter then you only need one transister widly used in microprossesor to store information. because you are using only one funtion therefore you only need one transister for remote one for machine to store one information. by using complex calculation you can set infared to send a signal to fix distance at fixed frequencey. not posible for everyone. need to understand electronics.
