    what's the difference between an eyelid tumor and a chalizion?

    I have a small lump inside my lower left eyelid. I am worried. I don't think its a sty because its not painful.

    should have it check out...they may just lance it open like they would the chaluizion...i know your supposed to use hot packs on a chalizone before they will try any surgical procedures...maybe try that...used to work in eye clinic

    chalazion is an obstructed sebecaous gland duct with retention of sebeaceuos secretions ,it can get get secondary infected and be painful ,most arent normally and disappear gradually and reopen by themselves ,if they dont a small surgical incision is done to clean it ,tumours are many categories benign malignant and some mimic even a chalazion ,,
