Thread: What could be the causes of the following symptoms in a 13month old?

I have a grand daughter who is 13 months old. She has been admitted to the hospital for vomiting and had an abnormal CT scan as a possible result of post concussion syndrome. They did a spinal tap and she had blood in the spinal fluid. I am really worried for her - what could be the cause?

Bright red blood in the spinal fluid is an abnormal finding and can indicate active bleeding in the brain or elsewhere in the central nervous system. Old blood will appear orange or brown.
