How long does it take for a probiotic to being work?

I've been taking probiotics since May 16th, at the direction of my doctor, to deal with some stomach issues. I take two pill at night before on an empty, as directed. I am wondering if someone can tell me when I could start to see a difference. At this point, I am still feeling pretty yucky. I have restricted what I eat. No dairy products or eggs and only one to two servings of wheat per day, as directed. I haven't noticed much of a change.

A good probiotics will give you results very quickly. In fact, one of the benefits of a good probiotics is to increase your tolerance for dairy products. Check out this article,

For a probiotics to be effective, the coating technology and strain of probiotics is very important. Sounds like yours is in hard capsule form. It is less effective as the bacteria are trapped inside the capsules.

I think it varies from person to person, I have heard of some individuals who have seen results the next day and some it can take around a week.
