Thread: How long does it take to get used to an upper dental plate?

It feels as though I have a phone book in my mouth. I can't imagine ever getting used to this.

I got a complete upper set around 35-40 years ago and I still can't tolerate them so I'm stuck with just a bottom set which are broken ! !
My wife on the other hand NEVER takes hers out, except for cleaning and is quite happy to chew on crusty bread among other hard things.
