How long did it take to make the H1N1 vaccine? How much testing was done on it to ensure it is safe?

I checked on the internet to find out how long it takes for drugs to go from concept, to testing to marketing and it said anywhere from 3-13 years.I am curious to know how can the researchers have developed a vaccine so quickly and how do they know it is safe?
Sorry for the thumbs down.I only give thumbs up because I assume people are trying to give me their best answer.

H1N1 is a bioweapon, its man made its bird, human, and swine flu mixed together. They didnt test that vaccine and they didnt want to. Its not safe and anyone who takes it is a fool. Someone or some someones wanted a lot of people dead. I feel sorry for the innocent kids that are dying from this. Its not right.

they use the same meds for H1N1 that they do for A & B that's how they know it works my children are being treated for the A virus and my dr told me it was all the same that is why we have a shortage of Tami flu ( the antiviral used to treat the 3 strands of flu out this year)
I was also told that if you get vaccinated it does not ensure you will not get either flu but it should not be as bad my oldest was vaccinated but not my youngest and they are about the same fever headache body ach and cough but if you are a good parent and watch your child very closely and keep them quarantine the chances of it going from type a to H1N1 are smaller just remember you know your kids the best trust your gut if they are really sick get them to the hospital if they are just a little sick then take them to the dr. Tami flu has been around for at least 5 years my husband took it then and it took care of it quickly like 3 days he was felling better so that is where the Research came from

Nobody has tested it. And they simply extracted the blood of somebody who had it, then got the flu from the blood. You can't make the flu there genius.

If you are talking about the H1N1 vaccine, simply put...they don't. Safety and effectiveness is based on similar past vaccines, and on how the newly introduced vaccine affects those of us taking it now. Trials are still going on to monitor any adverse events to be reported. That is why you will find arguments all over the place to support not taking the vaccine. In Canada there is an "interim order" for the vaccine, meaning it will be allowed to go on the market, with limited testing for the time being because of the urgency of the matter. During this time, adverse events will be monitored and its continuance on the market will be based on the safety risks as more information is obtained. Hope this helps. There is No such thing as a Safe 100% safe flu Shot. There is always a Tiny percentile of the populace who could have an adverse reaction to it (Sumtimes extreme, sumtimes mild)... Theres nothing 100% about it.. I dont get them, Its EXTREMELY rare to have something bad happen, but its certainly a possibility.. and i have a child, im not taking risks, of any kind.
