How likely is it to suffer a stroke due to pressure on the carotid arteries?

And about how serious could the damages be?

Say the pressure was held for a few minutes, and said person felt effects of dizziness, and heavy arm into the next day, but never actually passed out during the event.

I need solid answers from people who really know please, thanks.

You're doing that thing where you block off the carotid arteries and get that intense short high aren't you.

That feeling you get when you begin to black out is similar to what would happen if you were having a stroke, only it's occurring on one side of your brain, taking down one side of your body. It deprives your brain of blood and oxygen for that time.

I'm not sure if there's ever been any studies seeing what would happen after doing it a repeated number of times. However I'd imagine that if something were loose up there, having the sudden blood rush come on through in bursts on multiple occasions would not help it much.

Again, that feeling, yea, you're giving yourself a stroke when you do that (you're cutting off the blood flow to the brain). I cant say I'd recommend doing it (especially repeatedly).
