Thread: Why do cats smell your mouth when they are near your face?

I know this may seem like a strange question but I've always wondered why. Whenever I go near any of my cats faces or they are near mine, seems almost like the first thing they do is smell your mouth or your breath.

i think its to see what you have eaten without them (sneaky lil buggers)

Most likely, they are smelling to determine if you've eaten anything and what....that they might be interested in.

prob cuz its a strange dark opening they are curious about!

well i dont really no why but i guess they are giving you a kiss hellow or say i love you or maby even checking to see if you have the minty fresh ness you that every one loves

because they are disgusting vile animals that are evil and want to suck the life out of you, don't let them go near sleeping babies... seriously.

THE KiTTYS ARE JUST SO CURiOUS & JUST WANT TO FiND OUT WHAT YOU ARE HAViNG.. MAYBE SO THEY CAN HAVE SOME.

Cats are always interested in eating, and they are trying to tell if you've eaten anything good lately! LOL
