Thread: What shirt and tie combo should I wear to match a teal dress?

My date is wearing a teal dress, and I need to get a shirt and tie to match. I'm going to be wearing black pants. I was thinking a teal tie with a black shirt. Any other ideas?

You don't need to wear teal to match your date, you just need to wear black and white.

Wear a black tie, jacket or a grey/black waistcoat (more in fashion and different) and trousers with a white shirt, you'll match anything and not look super corny.

Teal on a guy make make you look slightly gay or cheesy.
