What is a receipe for a casserole that will win a man's heart?

    Hello --

My best advice is talk to the men you are inviting and get some feed back on what they like (asking them individually will make them feel special). From there you can plan a menu that won't please everyone, (that is impossible) but will show that you tried.

Make sure to have plenty of cold beverages on hand (are they beer drinkers).

Speaking as a good, hard-working man I can give you one piece of definite advice USE MEAT! Unless the guys are vegetarians meat is important to them.

This doesn't mean you can't have a casserole, it simply means that a good marinara with a lots of fried hamburger in it is preferred over a white sauce with extra cheese.

Also I would add that often times the best part of a meal is not the food but the company. So if you have a comfortable place to eat and large portions ... things should be fine.

Try making dishes you are comfortable with, most men enjoy raw fresh fruits.

    Good luck

This is the Cooking Procedures for Braised Pork in Tomato Sauce. http://www.allfavoriterecipe.com/RecipeDetailPorkAfritada.aspx

    1. Put pork in a bowl and season with salt and pepper. Let stand 10 to 20 minutes.

    2. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Stir-fry pork pieces until no longer pink in color and turn lightly brown.

    3. Add and sauté garlic until fragrant. Stir in onion until soft and translucent. Season with patis and then add potatoes, stir-fry for a few minutes.

    4. Pour in water and tomato sauce and bring to a boil. Lower the heat and let it simmer covered for about 25 to 30 minutes or until pork is cooked and potatoes are tender.

    5. Add in bell peppers and stir to blend. Correct seasonings. Thicken sauce with breadcrumbs (or flour, or cornstarch, if using). Stir and blend and let simmer for another few more minutes.

    6. Remove from heat. Transfer to a serving dish and serve hot.

I've been using this site for my asian recipes and this is the among the best of the listed casserole recipe in this site. Try it.
