Thread: What is the earliest you can neuter your cat?

cats should be at least 6 months before they get neutered

but dont use your mouth or hands

Darlin' Our vet is on the "Small Animal Clinic at Auburn University" in ALABAMA.. and HE sez ( and he should KNOW) wait till they are 9 months old!!!! That gives them all the hormones they need to have healthy bones and stuff. They get a bit HORNE but, we have waited with all our tom cats.... and they make the biggest, healthy pets.

The last time I checked, my vet told me that when your kitten reaches six months of age, or six pounds in body weight is when you get him neutered.

Which ever comes first, is perfectly fine, as long as its that weight/age or above.

Have him neutered as soon as you are ready to undergo the same treatment.

some vets will neuter as young as 4 months old, and others will say 6 months old, it will depend on your vet, discuss it with him.
