Thread: What colors are best together in regards to clothing?

I'm wondering what sorts of colors would match up best together. What colors are best for pants and also shirts. Also what about patterns or clothing that have different colors in them.

If you're just learning to dress, first learn about neutrals. Neutrals are: white, off white, cream etc.; black; gray (from light to dark); navy; khaki; beige; and chocolate brown. These colors go with everything and they go together. So, at first I suggest you just stick to neutrals and buy only neutral colored clothing plus dark blue and dark black denim. Then you can wear anything in your closet with anything else. As far as prints go stick to classic prints like pinstripes, swiss dots, and really subtle plaids or tweeds. These prints can be used like neutrals. Wear shoes that are the same color or darker than your pants. Just do that for a while and then once you have the hang of it you can start learning how to mix in colors and other prints.
