I make tomato salad. I use 8 to 10 tomatoes, with 1 small onion. Boil 6 eggs or so. slice tomatoes thin, along with onions and eggs. I use half a cup of vinegar and half a cup of vegetable oil. season with salt and pepper. let chill for 6 hours and enjoy. My German grandmother ALWAYS made this. to me its comfort food. of course you can change the oil and vinegar measurements to your taste.
