What is it called when a scene has many breaks?

For example, in 28 Days Later during the dream sequence the camera is pointing to his face while he is yelling. But the scene is not continuous as he keeps repeating the same question with different motion. It seems like they filmed the same part over and over again but with different actions, and in the end put them all together. What is this film term?

I believe this is known as sequencing, it is usually to get a point across in an obscure way.
