Thread: What is the best airport to fly into if I am going to Gottingen, Germany?

I am planning to visit a friend of mine who lives in Gottingen, Germany and I need to know the closest airport to fly into and how to get to Gottingen from the airport.

You would need to fly into Hanover, Germany, below are the directions to get to Gottingen from Hanover:



Bus number 60 runs between Hanover city centre and the airport every 20 minutes. Taxis are available from outside the terminal building. A train runs to Göttingen train station and takes 40 minutes.
From Hanover airport, follow the A7 motorway in the direction of Kassel. Göttingen lies on the A7.

Probably Franfurt, though people I have talked to do not like the airport because it is busy and hectic.

Hannover. It's about 30 minutes by express train from Hannover
central station.

Frankfurt international airport , that's the biggest one ,so go to google and see how far is Gottingen to Frankfurt OK. good luck.

Depends where you are flying out of? International flights from the USA I would recommend Frankfurt with connection to Hannover. From within the EU I would go straight to Hannover.
