What is an automatic food dispenser for a pet dog or cat? Is it really easy to use?

I heard that I can use an automatic food dispenser for my pet dogs so that I don't need to feed them every day. How does it work? Can someone be kind enought to send me some photos of the bowl or the links to buy from?

This electronic feeder is not only convenient to you but also to your pet, assuring they are getting fed at the appropriate times throughout the day. Whether you have a pet that has to eat at 5 AM every morning or one that has to wait until you get home from your busy day before they can have dinner, automatic pet feeders make sense.

Ok so i have a automatic water dispenser... it just really holds the water... the problem with the food one is the dog can get unhealthy and obese from getting food whenever they want. Would not recomend it.

Not sure why you would want to do this? Part of taking care of your dog is part of the bonding & training process. You feeding them make you more important to them. As to making them fat- mine all eat together out ofa large bowl & have food almost all the time & they are far from over weight. The only one that is overweight is the lil rescue mam that wasnt always fed where she used to be! But she is loosing it now because of more exercise.

Hi, I don't whether you are talking about automatic pet food dispenser like this http://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/Mjc5WDI3OQ==/$(KGrHqNHJDkE7zIDke(NBPBTfiqbJQ~~60_1.JPG?set_id=8 800004005

I just use this kind of food dispenser. It feeds my pets whenever they are hungry, so I don't have to adjust my schedule to my pet's feeding habits, especially when I cannot go back home at night sometimes.

This kind of bowl delivers fresh food on demand served in a removable, easy-to-clean plastic bowl. Gravity feeds the food to the bowl from the non-toxic plastic hopper that locks securely in place to prevent knockover and spills. Wide openings make cleaning and refilling a breeze. Everything is dishwasher-safe.

I bought two bowls last year from eBay, a store called Accessory2go. Here goes the product address: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Favorite-Large-3-5L-Pet-Dog-Cat-Automatic-Dispenser-Food-Dish-Bowl-Feeder-/230726780197?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item35b863 4525

I also use an automatic food bowl for my cats. It's very convenient as long as your pets don't eat too much.
