Thread: What alternative other than cutting down the fir tree?

I think I have a balsam fir tree. The previous owner plant it near the house. About four or five foot from my house. Should I be worry about the root of this fir tree getting into the house foundation? What should I do other than have this fir cut down? Thanks.

so i would cut it down , this will undermine your foundation,
not today , but maybe next year

plant any trees at least 12 foot from your house.
