What actor had a good career but you feel could have had a far more fulfilling career? You can list more than just one example. My example would be Cathy Moriarty. She was so good in Raging Bull as Vicky LaMotta but I have not seen her do anything impressive since then. I watched her in But I'm a Cheerleader but I didn't think that movie was any good.

    johnny depp

i think that johnny depp is one of the finest physical actors of his generation and yet he is terrible at picking his film roles. there are flashes of brilliance even in the bad roles he chooses however i would like to see him star in more interesting ideas laden films rather than surrealist child like films. for example, recently i heard that he passed the opportunity to work with terry gillingham so that he could do the forth installment in the pirates of the caribbean film franchise. from a financial point of view it makes sense however from a creative point of view it is very dissappointing. ed wood was the finest performance of his career.

She was so good in Leaving Las Vegas...and she made one of my favorite films of the 80's "Adventures in Baysitting but she could have had a way better career.

    Val Kilmer

He was in some good movies in the 90s like The Doors,Tombstone, and Heat but since 2000 till the present,he hasn't been really been in any good movies or picked any interesting roles.

Guy Pearce for me. Have barely seen him in many significant roles over the years. Great in the roles he has had though (Memento, LA Confidential). Just wish he was in more mainstream films because he is a top actor.
Also I remember the days when Adam Brody from 'the OC' was touted as the next big thing but that's never materialised. And say what you will about Lindsay Lohan, she looked promising - utter fail

I'd love to see her in more movies, she really got it. also Josh Hartnett and Chace Crawford, but I think they will have quite a career - it's just starting.

about Vicky - yeah, she was good, REAL I'd say, didn't feel like she was acting lol, it really looked like it was her - cold, blonde & practically smart, not a usual one-dimensional character, but a real person.

Ben Foster, he's just too damn good for the small roles he gets.
