Thread: How to wrap ribbon around the brim of a hat without it bunching?

I have a sailor hat that I'm trying to wrap ribbon aroun the brim of. The ribbon keeps bunching because the top of the brim is wider than the bottom. Any suggestions on how to wrap it without the ribbon bunching?
