How will the track at Saratoga effect the horses in the Travers?

Bob Baffert & several other trainers have said the track is different this year and a horse has to be in really good condition to handle it. Which horses have the best chance on it?

The complaint has been the surface is very deep and very slow at times; like beach running. So many trainers want tracks like the old West Coast scene....fast as if the dirt is Astro-Turf. Speed is tossed out and closers from way back are not getting up in the end; "strategic" pacing off the leader(s) just may get the grand prize each time....if the whining is actually valid.

Actually, each track in general is different, and yes, Saratoga's sand, silt and clay is not the same as other tracks, so with that, different horses have different characteristics and each respond differently to the conditions. Right now, I'm leaning towards Coil and Stay Thirsty for the Travers, however, I need to look into a few more factors including past performances before I make up my mind....looks to be shaping up to be a really good field, and ,as always, Saratoga is not an easy track to handicap making this even more of a Challenge,..I sure love a Challenge..lol..
