How to thank your father for a really expensive gift?

My father recently purchased me a nice, $1600 dirt bike. It wasn't my birthday or anything. I guess it was just one of those "just because" presents. What is a great way to thank him and show appreciation for the bike? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Shake his hand firmly, look him in the eye, and tell him thankyou, and that you respect him and appreciate him being such a good father.

I've always found a genuine, sincere, handwritten thank-you note to be the best way to thank someone in any situation.

If you insist on doing more, taking him out to lunch or dinner would be enough.
