How often should I take my pomeranian for a walk?

    Every day? How long?
Should he go poo every time?
Fill me in on this, he keeps pooing on all of the carpets and its getting really frustrating.

Maybe try walking twice a day for 15mins at a time. don't walk too fast. as for the pooing, let your dog spend more time in the yard. every time you catch him doing a poo in the right place praise big time.

How on earth can you be asking this question when you already have the dog - didnt you do any research before you bought it? I am amazed.
Go to your vet and ask his advice because it must be based on the dog's age, fitness and any illnesses. Generally small breeds like that need a total of 60 minutes minimum a day, preferably broken up into 3 sessions spread out. Pooing depends on feeding, but generally a dog will poo at least twice a day if not more. My own dogs poo first thing when I let them out in the morning at 6.30am to 7pm. They may poo again a couple of hours later and definitely again in the afternoon. One only poos twice, the other 3 times a day.
You should take your dog out last thing too...to empty its bladder. Honestly, what would you say if this was a child?
Where do you think your dog will poo if it isnt going out enough? It may think your home is its only environment.
Im not suprised you are having house-training problems because you obviously havent read up on the dog before getting it. They are not toys!!!!!!

I got my Pomeranian a few months before Katrina hit, (Yes, I live and love New Orleans) I had no problems. I walked her in the morning, when I came home from work, after her last meal, then, she happily went into her crate for the night. Or when I was leaving for work. Or course, my son came home at 2:00 or 3:00 in the afternoon. She loved her crate!! While, being a nomade for 15 months, living in 7 different places, she was great!! No accidents on any kind soul that took us in until my house was repaired. Crates are wonderful if you start a pet early. She just turned 3 years old, the crate is now in the garage and she asks nicely to be let out when she feels the urge. Puppies usually will not go in there bed area and the crate, as for my little girl, the crate was her own private room and she kept it spotless.
    Hope this helped.

The dog needs to be taken out at least 3 times a day. He doesn't need to poo everytime though. When I take my pomeranian out sometimes she needs to just pee other times it may be both.

Though it sounds as though your dog needs to be potty trained. It your dog tends to shake or start sniffing the floor its a sign it's time to go for a walk. Also you can pick up potty training mats at walmart or a pet store. I used those at one point because she just didn't get it and she was sick at that time. Though since you are having the problem with going to the bathroom in the house you might want to take him out at least every hour to 2 hours so he'll get use to seeing the leash and also so you wont have the poo all over the floor. Do it for the first week and see if anything is different also put the potty training matts where he might be going to the bathroom more frequently. Hope this helps.

you should take him for a walk in the mornin for 15 mins
then midday for another 15 mins
then in the evening for 15 mins .
And he should be let off the lead for a run around.
After you feed him take him outside to poo .
