Apart from the tank, lighting, heating, filter etc, there seems to be so much I need to buy. I'd love one, but is it expensive?
its as expensive as you make it . it will cost loads if you want top equipment for special types of fish but if you want a small 90 litre tank with all its equipment it can cos as little as £100
It depends onthe size, and the # and kinds of fish, I had a 20 gal, and even a 55, they 10 or 20 is the best bet at first, get some snails ans algae eaters and it will save on cleaning, also use a power filter, not the underground, and watch the temp closely, Good Luck, and God Bless...
Once you up n running, it's not too expensive, but you have to do water/filter changes regularly, so it can be a laborious task if you just wanted to sit back and watch!!
I'm afraid it is a little pricey and a bit of a hassle at the beginning. With the filters, heater, master test kit, tank itself with a hood and light and everything. Plus it's a slow process to start, but I think it's worth it if you love fish.
I only have a 5 gallon with a betta right now but only because I live in a college dorm and can't have bigger tanks, but once I graduate, I want to start a big aquarium because I've come to really love fish.
It's a hassle to keep a goldfish in a goldfish bowl so an aquarium has to be mega mega ++ hassle.
I bought a twenty gallon complete aquarium with everything needed for $46 at petsmart. I feel like it was a pretty good deal.
it doesnt require too much, just know that it requires some work.
they can be kind of expensive but you will find you will want to spend money on it.
you can make it however much work you want to
i really urge you to get into this hobby it is cool, fun, and rewarding, and you will want to make it more work because you will find it fun to work on your aquarium!
email me with question.
good luck!
it depends on what you are keeping. aquariums are not a cheap hobby, but they don't have to cost a fortune. a 10 gallon aquarium can be set up for under 100 dollars.
It depends on if it is fresh water or Salt water! Salt water is a lot more expensive! Then it also depends on what kind of fish you get goldfish are the least expensive and mollies too then they go up from there. If you take good care of your tank and keep the pH level right on your tank then your fish can last a long time and be very cheap to keep! Good luck!
