My 8 year old son would like to know how to make the best pb&j in the whole wide world.
you put peanut butter on both sides, and jelly and marshmellow(from the jar) in and then put in a pan and cook like a grilled cheese sandwitch....its freaking amazing
the best pb&j is with low fat peanut butter because it tastes better and black rasberry jam,on honey wheat bread ,,,,that is the best one !!!! promise !!ohh and my cats like it to lol one is Tilly and one is Goober.... Goober thinks everything is good even if he cant have it.. lol
thick creamy pnut btter w/ honey and stwbrry persvs. on whole wheat honey bread, lay on a warm skillet for a few secs on each side. don't toast though....just for a little warmth........it's heaven!! (althought i havnt been able to find the honey pnut btter since the recall some months back!)
Directions

You can enjoy your Delicious Peanut Butter Jelly Sandwich now
Take two slices of your favorite bread- mine is Grandma Sycamore's white bread...
Put the usual amount of PB (creamy, crunchy, whatever you like best) on one side, and a very thin layer of PB on the other. Then whatever your favorite jam is (home-made strawberry freezer jam, anyone?) on top of the thin PB.
Slap that sucker together, and there you go- a beautiful slice of childhood!
okay.
This is going to be a difficult procedure, and I am only going to say it once.

A big glass of milk.
Cut the crusts off the bread(Works best when frozen)
Toast the bread.
Spread peanut butter on one side while it's still hot, so it melts a little. Sprinkle on the sugar.

Make a pb&j sandwich, make a batter out of an egg, a splash of milk and a bit of cinnamon. Put the batter on a plate, lay the sandwich on the batter to coat, turn to the other side to coat. Fry in a skillet or on a griddle. Voila! French toast ala pb&j. My daughter also likes a bit of maple syrup on top, but I like it fine without. Enjoy!
This is how I do it:
two slices of bread, either homemade white or honey whole wheat- lightly browned (hardly even brown at all!!). Spread the PB on while it's still hot, so it melts a little, on one slice of bread.
On the other piece of bread, either homemade strawberry/raspberry freezer jam- the real stuff!!! Or, my grandma's homemade black cap jam (black raspberries).
Put the two slices together, with the jam and PB touching, cut the crusts off and then cut diagonally so they are triangle shaped.
Either that or follow the same first few steps, and instead of jam, real fresh honey, or raspberry honey butter. OH man!!! So good!!!
Your fave PB, with homemade strawberry jam (just simmer strawberries and sugar til its all broken down... then jar it), and sliced bananas, on your fave bread... or try soft french bread.
