Thread: How do I volunteer to be a movie extra for movies filming in Chicago?

I'd be an extra for free! I'm such a movie junkie that the idea of being on a set, even if I just stand in the background is fascinating. Any recommendations on how to get involved?

The Illinois Film Office has extras casting agents on their website.

It's free to sign up with any of them - you should never pay a fee for being an extra. Extras casting agencies get paid by the productions to supply the warm bodies. Sign up with as many as you can and be available - availability during the week is a huge thing. Good luck with it!
