Thread: How do I tell my parents me and my longtime girlfriend are having a baby?

Its not unexpected or a bad thing, were very happy and excited. Im just not sure how to tell my parents about this. We just found out about two weeks ago, and couldn't be happier. I know they will be happy for me and just as excited but Im thinking of how to tell them. Thanks for an answers in advance.

Just tell them. Also, tell them that you are planning your wedding. Children deserve married parents for stability and social reasons.

Tell them together. Include your plans for the future (ie if you plan to marry, finish school, working to take care of child, living arrangements, etc). Showing them that you have thought this out and planned for the life long commitment of having a child will put them at ease.

well it is getting close to christmas maybe a special gift by telling them they will be grandparents after dinner would be special?

At Christmas, Be like, Wheres your gift for your grand-child? What crappy grandparents you'll be. And then see they're shocked face, and then tell them, while smiling.
