New to distance running and running in general. I'd like to develop proper form in order to protect myself from injury and improve my speed. Specifically I'd like to know some good drills if there are any.

Great drills that you can do to help with your form and flexibility are warm-up drills that High School and Collegiate track athletes do. This not only warms you up but it increase your flexibility so that you can have a longer and more efficient stride length. It also starts muscle memory where you teach your legs exactly how to run properly. Great drills to start with are these:
Caricoca
Skipping A's
Skipping AA's
Skipping A'& B's
Skipping C's
Butt-Kicks
Walking Lunges
Bounds
Here is a great link that has a lot of the drills with it.
